Detroit-based Amber Engine, part of the Quicken Loans Family of Companies, was founded by a team of home furnishing industry innovators, technologists and business experts. Our mission is to provide the most accurate, complete and timely record of product data for the home furnishings industry.
What You'll Do/Need
Amber Engine is looking for a Technical Project Manager to be the liaison between business and technology. The Technical Project Manager will provide clear, understandable recommendations and solutions that engineers and technology team can use to create systems and tools to meet users needs. Candidates must possess a blend of business and technical savvy, a keen eye for details, the ability to drive challenging projects to completion. Responsibilities include: creating user stories, acceptance criteria, test changes against business requirements, and ensure development projects are up to date and on track.
Responsibilities
Work with specific teams within the business to determine their technology needs
Collaborate with a variety of partners, including business consultants, business members, engineering, and quality assurance to deliver quality technology solutions
Understand the business, goals, and vision
Handle aggressive deadlines and balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining system integrity
Analyze how a request impacts other systems and business processes
Provide communication to business partners as to when new features will be available
Translate front end feature requirements into technical requirements / user stories
Create user stories, use cases, and specifications
Ensure functional specifications match business goals
Ensure the core domain services priorities are aligned with business priorities
Requirements
At least two years of professional work in the technology industry
Able to identify and analyze business problems, find opportunities, and offer solutions
Able to clearly articulate and effectively write business requirements
Able to document simple (non-complex) processes with technical flow charts, related to primary responsibilities
Ability to prioritize tasks
Experience working in an Agile environment
Good oral and written communication skills
