Email Marketing Specialist

Detroit-based Amber Engine, part of the Quicken Loans Family of Companies, was founded by a team of home furnishing industry innovators, technologists and business experts. Our mission is to provide the most accurate, complete and timely record of product data for the home furnishings industry.

What You'll Do/Need

The Email Marketing Specialist is a brilliant sales copywriter and creative storyteller who has a technical aptitude. You will be responsible for writing and sourcing content for email campaigns that are integrated with on and offline marketing initiatives. This team member reports to Director of Marketing and works closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, Project Managers and the Clients Services team.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the Amber Engine email marketing strategy

  • Produce compelling sales copy for lead-nurturing emails, landing pages, and

    potentially, sales letters

  • Lead marketing initiatives for social media posts

  • Lead messaging efforts for events, press releases and public relations efforts

  • Proofread and facilitate approval for advertising and brand collateral

  • Handle incoming requests for information from media outlets and association

    partners

  • Utilize AP writing style along with maintenance of brand and content guidelines

    to help ensure a high level of editorial review, consistency and quality across all communications

  • Build knowledge of home furnishings industry and Amber Engine’s clients

Requirements

  • Proven track-record of producing high-converting sales copy for email campaigns and similar. You will asked to demonstrate numbers from past successful campaigns

  • ActiveCampaign or comparable email automation software experience and advanced technical aptitude

  • A/B Testing experience

  • At least three years of experience in a communications field and/or public relations

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or equivalent experience

  • Professional sales copywriting and editing experience

  • Strong work ethic with track record of dependability and commitment to exceeding goals

  • Ability to create alignment and communicate openly with other team members

  • Genuine passion for subject matter domain and desire to work with sense of purpose
